Casting is a metal molding object obtained by a variety of casting methods, that is, the smelted liquid metal, with pouring, injection, inhalation or other casting methods into the pre-prepared casting, after cooling by grinding and other subsequent processing means, obtained with a certain shape, size and performance of the object.
China's casting production scale is huge, according to the casting industry association data show that the output for many years ranked first in the world. Although the casting industry was affected by the decline of the downstream automotive industry in 2019, it still maintained a huge output of nearly 50 million tons. In 2020, casting production continued to rise, reaching a new high of 5195, with a year-on-year growth of 6.6% in 2019. According to the "13th Five-Year Development Plan of casting Industry", the casting material structure in China will be further optimized. With the continuous growth of China's industrialization process, the market demand for casting modified materials will be further improved.
In terms of specific categories, China's castings are mainly divided into gray cast iron, nodular cast iron, aluminum (magnesium) alloy, according to the China Casting Association data show that in 2020, China's main castings are gray cast iron, nodular cast iron, aluminum (magnesium) alloy, the total proportion is about 80%, respectively 20.4 million tons, 13.95 million tons and 6.85 million tons, Both are up slightly from 2019.
